DID YOU KNOW?
Les Paul played on this stage in 1930, at age 14! Cool!

The Capitol Theater (renamed “The Park” in 1981) is a part of Racine’s history, with silent movies, talkies, vaudeville, newsreels, festivals, contests, radio broadcasts, comedy, performances, and many memories.

Pledges are no longer being accepted. The plan was that pledges would only be collected when the non-profit 501(c)3 organization acquired the building and has signed contracts for the immediate roof and masonry repairs. If that didn’t happen, the pledge would never be collected. Pledges helped us to make serious plans to repair and restore. Sadly, those plans are not longer possible as the City of Racine’s Mayor Mason and Bldg. Inspector Plaski razed this historic property.
