Many people have received boilerplate letters from the City that contain obsolete and misleading information, which is a poor basis for their decision. See below to contact the alders and the Mayor to correct this information!
Unfortunately, no new item on the Capitol-Park Theater has been included in the agenda for Tuesday’s Common Council Meeting (Feb 2, 2021).
We are still exploring legal options and contacting more officials, and ask that you continue calling the alders and the mayor, as below.

SO, WHAT CAN WE DO TODAY?
Please email/call the alders (you can just leave a message), telling them that the Capitol Theater Friends HAVE the money to buy the building, insure it, and repair the roof and walls to seal the building envelope. Remind them that the City already has the back taxes on the building because the County always pays the City for them. Ask them again, to please find a way to pause the raze order.
